Appendix NCLEX-RN Study Plan / Success Plan Learning Objectives: At the end of this activity, the student will: Demonstrate an appropriate plan for successful preparation for the NCLEX Identify strengths and weaknesses of content covered within the NCLEX Perform multiple formative practice quizzes in preparation for the NCLEX Simulate the NCLEX experience by completing multiple comprehensive practice exams o Three different 75 question quizzes PassPoint with a mastery score of 6.0 or higher. Each 75 question quiz must be timed and completed in 2 hours or less; o Two different 265 question NCLEX quizzes from PassPoint with a mastery of 6.0 or higher. Each 265 question quiz must be timed and completed in 6 hours or less; Determine behaviors needed to ensure successful preparation for the NCLEX Requirements: Students will submit proof of purchase for one faculty-approved NCLEX RN review course: Hurst ATI Kaplan NCSBN HESI A five-month NCLEX study plan needs to be submitted by the second week of school (the plan should include September through January). Throughout the final semester of nursing school, the student will submit evidence of five different quizzes from PassPoint: three 75 question NCLEX quizzes and two 265 question NCLEX quizzes. The 75 question quizzes will be timed to be completed within 2 hours or less and the 265 question quizzes will be timed to be completed within 6 hours or less. All five quizzes must have a mastery of 6.0 or higher. Grading: All evidence must be submitted to the appropriate drop box on or before the assigned due date and time. A score of 100% will be entered in the grade book for each unit when: Three timed- 75 question quizzes each with a mastery score of 6 or higher; Submission must include the time component demonstrating less than 2 hours to complete; Two timed- 265 question quizzes each with a mastery score of 6 or higher; Submission must include the time component demonstrating less than 6 hours to complete; 2/6/2017 11:40 AM 1
Failure to complete the quizzes as outlined above and submit in the appropriate drop box by due date and time will result in a zero (0) for the grade book. The NCLEX success plan and PassPoint quizzes are required assignments and will comprise 10% of the total grade if the unit exam average is equal to or greater than 75.0%; If the unit exam average is less than 75.0%, then zeros will be applied to the students PassPoint quiz and NCLEX success plan grades. Calendar Complete the calendar template with the hours of review, # of questions to complete per day, anticipated date for NCLEX exam, practice quizzes, and review course. Success has been evident for students who take a minimum of 150 questions per day after graduation.
