Enclosed is a copy of the signed Categorical Exclusion for the project and a letter from the FAA environmentally clearing the project. If you should desire an explanation or clarification of any of the referenced special conditions or other matters pertaining to this Grant Offer, this office will render all possible assistance. If the terms of the Grant Offer are satisfactory, it should be accepted on or before *,200*. The officers of the Sponsor who have been authorized to take such action should accomplish such acceptance. The certification of the Sponsor's attorney should be executed following the execution of the abovementioned acceptance paragraph. It is based on the guidance in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Order 5050.48, "National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Implementing Instructions for Airport Actions," FAA Order 1050.1E, "Environmental Impacts: Policies and Procedures," and incorporates the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) regulations for implementing the NEPA, federal statutes and laws designed to protect the Nation's resources. The preparer of this checklist should have knowledge of the environmental features of the airport and general potential impacts associated with the proposed development.
