Video Presentation Guidelines Each College can Submit Three videos to the World optometry day Panel Best videos will be selected By WOD Panel and it will be announced on 28 th February 2015. Selected Videos will go in the final round during the event Last date of submission will be February 21 st, 2015 Under graduate/post graduate students can participate Any Optometry topic can be chosen Maximum students can participate Videos presentation can be on Demonstrating technique, Procedure or Explanation Video should be max. of up to 5 mins in any Video Format(Excluding 3GP and MP4 Format) Examples of Video Presentation or Student can Select from Topic Below 1. Demonstrating IPD measurement 2. Demonstrating Insertion and Removal of Soft contact lens 3. Demonstration on do s and don ts on soft contact lens 4. Demonstrating how to do Cover Test 5. Demonstrating how to do Retinoscopy 2. Oral and Poster Presentation Protocol Guidelines (This can change according to the selection of topic) a) Introduction b) Objectives of the topic c) Statistical analysis (if Required) d) Explaining the content/ Procedure e) How to implement particular topic/observation (if possible) f) Summary and conclusion

Students can select any topic from any subject below (Practical Aspect): Contact lens Dispensing Optics Internship study Project Encouraging students in various aspects of Optometry Examples of Topics OR Students can select from the topic below: Various ways to put concept/ trial of Contact lens in patients Encouraging Optometry students to wear contact lens Use of technology in your future practice Challenges faced by students in current educational setup and possible solution Motivating patient for Prescription sunglass Applicants will be acknowledged for recipient of the presentation and notification of acceptance or rejection will also be made. **World optometry day Panel reserves the right to accept and reject. All presenters are requested to complete the registration process with Registration fees, well ahead of time, to facilitate the process. Selected oral presentation will be given a dedicated time of 8 mins for oral presentation + 2 mins questions. Selected Poster Presentation. The size of poster should not exceed 20 x 30 inches. Poster will need to be displayed all days. Authors are scheduled to be at the poster for the scheduled portion on the day. 3. Poster or Model Competition Only For First Year Eye Anatomy and Physiology or Optics to be presented on 2 nd day of WOD. Participant needs to be present to explain the model or poster personally.

Cultural Program Rules Dance Solo o Time limit:05 minutes o Participants are required to bring their own music CDs, pen drives and props during event o Only one entry from each college. o Participation confirmation done by 14 th February 2015. Dance Duet o Theme: Retro (Song Selection of up to 1985s year) o Time limit:05 minutes o Participants are required to bring their own music CDs, pen drive and props during event o Only one entry from one college. o Participation confirmation done by 14 th February 2015. Dance Group o This competition is only open for GROUP participation o Each group can have 06 to 10 members. o Only one entry from each college. o Time limit: 07 minutes. o Participants are required to bring their own music CDs, Pen drive and props during event o Participation confirmation done by 14 th February 2015. 5. Quiz o One team from each college. o A team shall consist of maximum three persons. o Question related to General knowledge, Entertainment and Optometry. o First Qualifying round (Pre quiz). Each team would be given a set of question paper containing 25 multiple choice Objective type questions for Qualifying Round on General Knowledge, Entertainment and Optometry No Negative Marking in Quiz Competition Four team will be selected for Final competition.

General Rules Entries can be sent either by e-mail or by post at the Institute s address. Only one entry per event from each College/Institute is entertained. Participants should bring along their institute s ID card at the time of registration. The teams will have to arrange on their own items required for their event of participation. Punctuality and discipline are of primary concern. Decisions of judges will be final.
