AusEvents won the bid to host the International Biotechnology Symposium (IBS) in Melbourne, which was held as part of the International BioFest 2016, the largestever gathering in the Australian life sciences. ausbiotech.org/ausevents AusBiotech has recently developed the Roadmap to a Successful IPO for Life Sciences Companies aimed at preparing life sciences companies that are investor-ready or planning to become investor-ready for an initial public offering (IPO). AusBiotech launched the new Life Sciences Sector Snapshot 2017 it commissioned to provide a comprehensive overview of the life sciences sector within Australia, which revealed the magnitude of the life sciences sector for the first time.
AusMedtech AusMedtech, part of AusBiotech, is the national industry group representing the medical devices and diagnostics industry sector in Australia. AusMedtech is dedicated to the development, growth and prosperity of the Australian medical technology industry. It has a national advisory group with three sub-committees, two state-based advisory groups and the Stoma Industry Group. Together with AusMedtech, AusBiotech facilitates trade in medical devices by providing much needed information to Australian companies. With the support of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission and funding from the Asian Business Engagement (ABE) Plan, the Australian Medical Devices & Diagnostics to China project has been launched, which includes the Guide for Australian medical technology companies seeking to engage in China, the AusBiotech directory of Australian medtech companies and the Directory of Known of Known China Advisors. Australia s premier medical technology conference AusMedtech 2018, will be held in Adelaide (1-2 May), bringing together key stakeholders and researchers of the Australian and international medical devices and diagnostics sector. ausmedtech.com.au AusAg & Foodtech AusAg & Foodtech is a special advisory group representing agricultural biotechnology and food technology, and biotechnology s contribution to the food development process in Australia, from the farm to the plate. AusBiotech is a founding member of the Agricultural Biotechnology Council of Australia (ABCA), a national representative organisation for agricultural biotechnology.
