EPA School Bus Rebate Program Offering over $7,000,000 in vehicle and/or retrofit rebates Designed to promote emission reduction and the health of our communities by funding the replacement or retrofit of older school buses Contractors are eligible for up to $20,000 per vehicle replacement and up to $6,000 per vehicle for retrofitting Application deadline: November 14, 2017 email info@yellowbuses.org https://www.epa.gov/cleandiesel/clean-diesel-rebates
DERA EPA anticipates awarding approximately $34 million in competitive grant funding for the Diesel Emissions Reductions Act (DERA) Clean Diesel Funding Assistance Program. For projects that achieve significant reductions in diesel emissions in terms of tons of pollution produced and exposure. Scholarship Opportunity Safety Competition Education Scholarship Available for drivers and the children of drivers who participated in the safety competition. Up to $1,000 available in scholarship funds for educational purposes (i.e. seminars, training, etc). Great opportunity to gain recognition for your drivers and advance the professionalism of the industry.

Hall of Fame Recognizes the special contribution that many fine and talented NSTA members have made, and are making, to the school transportation industry. ELIGIBILITY: NSTA contractor member in good standing for 10 years School bus contractor for at least 10 consecutive Member of state contractors association
Golden Merit Recognition for excellence in service, safety, and outstanding demonstration of community responsibility ELIGIBILITY: Company must be a school bus contractor in good standing Nominee must be a member of the state contractors association Letter of recommendation
Distinguished Service Recognizes school bus contractors who have been nominated for recent, significant, substantial, and special contributions to pupil transportation contracting ELIGIBILITY: Either a state contractors association or an individual NSTA contractor member may nominate All nominees will be kept confidential.
Outstanding Driver Service Recognition for exemplary safety performance and a commitment to excellence in pupil transportation and contributions to the community ELIGIBILITY: Company must be a school bus contractor in good standing Company must be a member of the state contractors association Demonstrated superior excellence in pupil transportation Proof of an acceptable driving record
Outstanding School Transportation Administrator Recognizes school transportation Administrators for their commitment to safety, business practice, and the pupil transportation industry. ELIGIBILITY: Worked w/ NSTA contractor for 3 yrs. Nominating member company must be in good standing and a member of the state contractors association Either a state contractors association or an NSTA contractor member may nominate.
Meritorious Service Award Recognizes an individual who has displayed unparalleled vision, support, and leadership toward improving pupil transportation safety, promotion of NSTA and the school bus industry. ELIGIBILITY: Worked w/ NSTA or NSTA contractor for 3 yrs. All nominees will be kept confidential.
Go Yellow, Go Green Recognizes a leader in the school bus industry who has demonstrated initiative and commitment in pursuing positive responses to growing environmental concerns ELIGIBILITY: NSTA contractor member in good standing
