OPERATION JUNIOR RAPTOR INFORMATION SHEET INTRODUCTION: Operation Junior Raptor is an annual event that gives military children a chance to learn what their mom or dad might encounter while preparing for and going on a deployment. DESCRIPTION: The program is intended to simulate a deployment process from beginning to end. Participants will get a set of orders and will get items checked off as they complete each step of the deployment processing line. Once they ve completed their Out-Processing Checklist they will form up in flights to learn drills and proper protocol. After the commander s send-off speech they are off on their deployment adventure. First stop is experiencing a Security Forces K-9 Demo. Afterwards, Junior Raptors will load up and be taken to Hanger 5 for various demonstrations and other hands-on activities. Finally, participants will arrive home for a Welcome Home celebration with their family and friends. AGES Children must be 6-years-old and in 1 st grade in order to attend Operation Junior Raptor. Teenagers from 12-18 years old will be Crew Chiefs in charge of flights. DATES, TIMES AND LOCATION: 12 April 2014, doors open at 8:00am. Drop off point will be at the Tyndall Youth Center. Parents are asked to be back at the Youth Center NLT 1:45pm for the Welcome Home Celebration ANTICIPATED EVENTS: K-9 Demonstration Hanger 5 o MRE Tasting o E-9A Walk-through o Fire Truck Demo o EOD Demo o Chem Gear Demo o Engine Run Welcome Home Celebration

OPERATION JR RAPTOR Tyndall AFB, Florida Parental Letter of Authorization for Participation & Transportation I (We) hereby give permission for my (our) child, to participate in Operation Jr Raptor held at Tyndall AFB, Florida on Sat, 12 April 2014. As the parent(s) of a participant in Operation Jr Raptor activities, I (we) give permission for my (our) child, to be transported from the Youth Center to Hangar 5 and back to the Youth Center. As the parent or legal guardian, I (we) hereby agree to indemnify, release, save and hold harmless the United States of America, the United States Air Force, Tyndall Air Force Base and any other agency, organization, or sponsor of these activities, or their officers, members, agents, or employees for any harm, personal injury or death, which may befall my minor child related to or arising out of participation in these activities or any transportation related to said activities, and hereby release said entities and persons from any liability relating thereto. I (We) further agree to indemnify and hold said entities and persons harmless from any claims or causes of action asserted by any other persons on behalf of said child, or in their own right, arising out of said participation, activities, or transportation. I (We) similarly agree to hold said entities and persons harmless from the claims and causes of action of third parties for injury, or death or damage to property caused by my (our) child and to reimburse said entities or individuals. I(We) also agree to reimburse the United States Air Force for any damage to government property caused by my child.
