Charities Intrapreneurship Programme In an increasingly uncertain funding landscape, there has been mounting pressure for charities to create innovative and sustainable income-generating streams for a number of years, however often charities are unable to access the support and methodology to build successful approaches to diversifying income through trading activities. The Social Investment Consultancy believes that more charities should have access to the services that we provide, to enable organisations and the wider sector to rethink and evolve their approaches to delivering social impact. Therefore we are launching the Charities Intrapreneurship Programme to: Support charities through our Charities Unlocked consultancy methodology to develop income diversification solutions Train individuals in our structured approach and strategy that can be taken back and shared within your organisation Give participants access to a network of other innovative charities, social enterprises, purpose-led businesses and potential social investors What will I get? Through the Charities Intrapreneurship Programme, you will have the opportunity to develop for your organisation: Organisational assets audit Income-generating products and services proposals Market research and competitor analysis insights Business plan Sales and marketing strategies A Professional & Supportive Network In-depth Discussion & Collaborative learning Structured Approach & Strategy Genuine Innovation & Concrete Solutions Who is it for? The Charities Intrapreneurship Programme is for charities who are interested in coming up with innovative approaches to diversifying their income (especially those who may not have the budget to get direct consultancy support). It is open to individuals at all levels both those working within fundraising and business development, and those interested in intrapreneurship and innovative approaches to income generation and impact. I found TSIC s training to be really engaging and useful. It allowed time to reflect on our charity and come up with creative ideas in which to push forward future growth and sustainability. Richard Driffield, Business Development Manager, Greater Manchester Youth Network 2

About us TSIC is a social change strategy consultancy. Our mission is to enable our clients and the wider sector to rethink and evolve their approaches to maximising social impact. We provide bespoke consultancy support to a wide range of charities, social enterprises, foundations and businesses. We provide advice and practical support to help our clients launch new services or operations, as well as assessing the impact and success of existing programmes. We also have an active research programme focused on innovation in social change and are experienced in delivering keynote speeches, panel discussions, seminars and workshops. Though we are always flexible to meet individual client needs and tailor our approach to each project, our work with clients falls under four core service offering areas: Charity Revenue Generation and Business Planning We work with charities and social enterprises ranging in size, geography and issue areas, supporting them to create a more sustainable future through moving away from traditional fundraising towards a revenue generation model. Our original methodology Charities Unlocked helps charities to build successful businesses out of what they do best. Once commercial opportunities are identified, we can provide market research and business, financial and operational planning to support a successful launch. Social Investment Readiness Many charities and social enterprises would benefit from social investment to help realise their ambitions to scale and become more self-sustaining, yet organisations often lack the confidence and skills they need to become investment ready. TSIC is committed to bridging the gap between VCSEs and social investors and we support our clients by helping them to think holistically about their long term organisational strategy, lending our expertise to the more technical aspects of investment readiness and supporting them to develop their pitch to social investors. Social Impact Assessment Measuring the value of social programmes is a crucial part of maximising the benefits they deliver for society. We work with our clients to design, implement and manage an ongoing impact assessment process rather than focusing on producing one-off reports. Our approach to impact assessment balances academic rigour with practicality. We collaborate with our clients to implement an assessment system that is reflective of the organisation s goals, scale and team capacity. We also work with our clients to ensure that impact findings have resonance beyond the organisation and can inform funders and influence policy makers. Corporate Philanthropy At TSIC we believe that whatever the specific talent or proficiency of a business, it can be creatively applied to social change as much as making a profit. Our in house developed methodology TSIC Fuse converts business assets into social change. We support our clients to identify their key strengths and select a cause and partner organisation that best complements their business in order to maximise social impact. We also provide strategic planning and implementation support for CSR programmes. 4
