WELCOME Spring Symposium 2018 Committee On behalf of the Illinois Emergency Nurses Association, we invite you to attend the Annual Spring Symposium. The Spring Symposium Committee spent the past year working diligently to continue the Symposium s tradition of quality education from recognized experts with the latest need-to-know evidence for emergency nurses. Emergency RNs and APRNs, nurse leaders, and nurses with an interest in emergency care are invited to participate in the Spring Symposium 2018. Continuing nursing education credit will be applied for. The Spring Symposium is held at the Hilton Lisle-Naperville in Lisle, Illinois. This updated facility offers a wide variety of amenities for guests and Symposium attendees. The Advanced Clinical Program on Thursday, April 19, is geared towards APRNs and graduate students, and open to all RNs. This program features opioid pharmacology, clinical and patient management sessions, and Thursday exhibits have been expanded. The General Sessions on Friday, April 20, feature keynote speaker Dr. Elda Ramirez, closing speaker Dr. William Hampton, and new in-depth, two-hour breakout sessions, plus our expansive Exhibit Hall. We have two new pre-sessions for attendees: a two-hour ultrasound-guided peripheral IV access workshop from Bard on Thursday morning, and the Illinois ENA CEN Review on Wednesday and Thursday. Don t miss our new Welcome Party Thursday evening! The $15 donation benefits the ENA Foundation, and includes dinner, auction, awards presentation, DJ, and a cash bar.
