IMRE In 1999, after many developments, a new international study programme was set up. It was called Master of Business Administration in International Management of Resources and Environment. Everybody knows this now as IMRE. In the first lecture in the Winter Term of 1999, there was one student from China, he arrived on time. Then, nine more students arrived. Year after year, many more students came and more and more countries were represented. Development of IMRE IMRE is a well established Study Programme within the Profile of TU Bergakademie Freiberg as the nationwide leading University for Education and Research on Natural Resources. IMRE Alumni Conferences in Ghana 2009 Sustainable Management and Exploitation of Africa's Resources and Environment in Kumasi, Ghana 2010 Environmental Disasters of Oil & Gas Exploitation: Lessons from the Gulf of Mexico in Kumasi, Ghana With the support of DAAD, IMRE organized two Alumni Workshops in Ghana in the years 2009 and 2010.The first workshop took place from March 24 to 27, 2009 at our partner University Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi. The workshop was dedicated to Sustainable Management and Exploitation of Africa's Resources and Environment and brought together a number of recognized experts and Alumni of our program. There was an excessive exchange of knowledge and expertise. The conference in 2010 took place from November 11 to 14, 2010 at KNUST in Kumasi. The Ambassador was opening the three day international conference that discussed the management of resources and the environment at KNUST. 2010 Oil Finds in Ghana: Issues for Sustainable Management and Networking Activities through the DAAD Alumni Portal, Accra, Ghana At the special request of DAAD, on 5 and 6 November, IMRE organized a workshop in Accra for Alumni of German Universities on the occasion of the launching of the German ALUMNI Portal of DAAD. This workshop was dealing with Oil finds in Ghana and the economic and social consequences. Papers were given by various scholars and by representatives of industry about the future development of this new industry. Several papers were also given by IMRE ALUMNI. IMRE Alumni Conferences in Indonesia 2011 Setting the Pace for Renewable Energy Technologies in Developing and Emerging Markets with Case Studies on Renewable Energy Technology Transfers in Bandung, Indonesian From September 25th to 30th, the IMRE Alumni Conference took place in Bandung, Indonesia, in cooperation with the chemical engineers and the industrial engineers of the Institute of Technology Bandung. The event was carefully prepared by two local Committees, one relating to the scientific aspects and another dealing with the organizational matters. Many professors and scholars participated in the first Committee to motivate speakers and to put together the tables of content. Several IMRE Alumni worked extremely hard in the preliminary stage and during the event itself to make it an unforgettable experience. The first day was dedicated to the sole subject of bio mass as a resource of multiple uses with presentations given by scholars from Indonesia.
IMRE Alumni Conferences in Mexico 2012 Renewable energy sustainability challenges as well as their opportunities for developing countries in Oaxaca, Mexico From September 24 to 28, the MBA IMRE Alumni Conference and meeting took place in Oaxaca, Mexico.
