SUNY Erie North Campus Career Center Free Clothing Boutique SUNY Erie NORTH Career Center: Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs: 8am - 6pm Fri: 8am - 4:30pm Computers & Clothing Boutique are shut down ½ hour before closing. SUNY Erie South Campus Career Center Computer Lab SUNY Erie SOUTH Career Center: Mon, Tues, Thurs, & Fri: 8am - 4pm Wed: 10am - 6pm Computers are shut down ½ hour before closing * Please check your local TV/radio stations in bad weather for campus closure notifications. Our North Campus Career Center is located between Main Street & Wehrle Drive on Youngs Road in Williamsville. Please park in the Visitors Lot closest to the curb on Youngs Rd or in any Student Lot. We are located in Room G166. SUNY Erie North Campus in Williamsville, NY 3
Our SUNY Erie South Campus Career Center is located in Building 6. Please use the Abbott Road entrance to the campus. Parking is available in front of buildings 6 & 5. We are located on the second floor walkway between buildings 5 & 6. SUNY Erie South Campus in Orchard Park, NY 4

Getting started Our career services are designed to be self-directed. Career Center registration is required. You can choose to use our services without a lot of staff assistance, such as participating in our free workshops, or using our Resource Room. You may also choose personalized, one-to-one career coaching and resume writing services. Self-directed services, because it s your path.
How we work together At this workshop we ask you to complete paperwork. We will meet with you individually after the workshop for an Initial Assessment and to help you plan your next steps. Your info gets entered into the New York State Dept. of Labor s confidential case management system to help you find a job. All staff have signed Confidentiality Agreements your information is safe & will not be disclosed to outside parties.

Choose a resume style that best suits your situation. Whenever possible, tailor your resume to specific jobs. Individuals with attractive, accomplishmentbased, and concise resume are much more likely to land job interviews. Make sure your resume can be read by Applicant Tracking Systems by using basic formatting. Some formatting may not be read correctly. Our Career Coaches are resume experts.

Explore career options to determine which demand occupations are a good fit for you. Initial eligibility for training Dislocated Worker status or Adult eligibility (Implemented with the WIB s Priority of Service and Supportive Services Policies). *Unemployment Insurance (UI) payments are INCLUDED as income. Meet Erie County WIB Demand Occupation criteria. Selective Service registration www.sss.gov Participants in default of a student loan are not eligible. 15

If you ve received a determination notice of Trade Act eligibility TAA / TRA is for individuals from specific companies affected by foreign trade. Different process with additional requirements. Time is of the essence please notify us immediately. Office of Trade Adjustment Assistance determines eligibility (not determined locally).

What we expect from you Keep your appointments, call to reschedule if you can t make it or will be late. Homework may be assigned to you, depending on what you need - follow through on assignments. Follow Center Rules. Try to keep an open mind - your Career Coach is here to help you, and often works many hours on your behalf in-between your appointments! Participate in follow-up services.
