Rahall will join the New River Community and Technical College and its many partners in a grand opening ceremony for its newest location at 527 Odd Road, Ghent, West Virginia, which will be the hub for technical education and training in southeastern West Virginia. As advanced technologies and green building practices gain momentum, manufacturers and service providers are always looking for equipment, tools, and most importantly, skilled workers to help them stay ahead of the curve. New River Community and Technical College is committed to playing an integral role in helping our communities grow and prosper and is very pleased to offer programs in weatherization technology, green building systems, automotive and diesel technology, welding, HVAC, electrical distribution technology, commercial driver s license, heavy equipment operation, surveying, horticulture and landscaping, and lead renovation at the new center. Following the ceremony, the attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy exhibits provided by many of the college s partners in energy efficiencies, energy conservation, and advanced energy technology at the region s First Annual Advanced Energy and Technology Expo. Exhibits will range from virtual welding to hybrid vehicles and even to how to make rain barrels. Guests will be introduced to current and future developments in advanced energy, green building, weatherization and manufacturing technology. The event will be open to the general public from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2010, and there will be something of interest for adults and children of all ages. Admission is FREE, and in addition to exhibits, participants will have the opportunity to attend FREE educational workshops at the event to learn more about how they can save money and resources by weatherizing their homes and businesses by investing in advanced energy measures. EXHIBIT SPACE Standard booths are 10 wide by 10 deep and come with an 8 draped back wall and 3 side rails unless noted differently in your sponsorship agreement. Platinum sponsors receive a 10 x30 booth, gold and silver sponsors receive a 10 x20 booth. All booths include a 6 skirted table, two chairs and electrical hook-up. If you require carpet additional tables/chairs, furniture, or audio visual rental, we recommend you contact Kris Peter from Hollins Exposition Services at 540.362.5490, ext. 115. Please refer to the attached floor plan for the event. Individual booth spaces will be assigned by October 23, 2010. EXHIBITOR BADGES Badges are your exhibitor passes, which give you access to lunch and refreshments on both days of the event. They are nontransferrable and must be worn at all times.
