National Guard Civil Support Teams Supporting Response Operations in the United States

Purpose To inform the audience about the mission and capabilities of the Civil Support Teams (WMD)

Civil Support Teams 22 Person Detachments comprised of both active duty Army and Air National Guard Certified by congress to perform missions Highly technically skilled personnel Majority of Equipment is COTS Designed for State support of civilian authorities CSTs are under State control

Mission Support civil authorities at a domestic CBRNE incident site by identifying CBRNE agents/substances, assessing current and projected consequences, advising on response measures, and assisting with appropriate requests for state support.(analytic, advisory, civil-military interface and communications functions)
