Starting 2006 Quadrant Amroq Beverages is purchased by the second largest Pepsi bottler worldwide. The company becomes known as QAB - PepsiAmericas. In 2009, PepsiCo International announces the intention to purchase the two main Pepsi bottlers: PepsiAmericas and Pepsi Bottling Group. Thus, former QAB PepsiAmericas Romania becomes part of the PepsiCo system within the beverages division. Quadrant Amroq Beverages PepsiAmericas is PepsiCo s local bottler and distributor of following core brands: Pepsi, Mirinda, 7-Up, Mountain Dew, Prigat, Lipton Ice Tea, Biletul Zilei Pariuri, Gatorade, Roua Muntilor. The snacks business of PepsiCo International in Romania started in 2004, when the group acquired Star Foods. Star Foods is present in Romania since 1993 and it enjoys a leading position in the salty snacks market. Star Foods commercializes brands like Lay s, Star and Krax. In 2010, the global merge between PepsiCo, Pepsi Bottling Group (PBG) and PepsiAmericas (PAS) transformed us in one of the biggest companies within foods and beverages sector with a portfolio of more than 200 brands and a global presence. Currently PepsiCo International is the second largest company within the foods and beverages industry at a global scale and among the market leaders in Europe. Following the global merge in 2010 the local companies in the Romanian market, Star Foods and PepsiAmericas, become one within PepsiCo system gaining the role of a key player in the local market, with 4 plants and a portfolio of 7 core brands: Lay s, Krax, Star, Pepsi, Prigat, Roua Muntilor, Lipton Ice Tea. Exploiting synergies following the merger of the two companies, we will also benefit locally of significant advantages throughout integrated operations, in a faster and more effective manner.
