TEAM NOVEMBER 27, 2017 Tell us something good T.J. HEALTH COLUMBIA CLINIC The T.J. Health Columbia Clinic is a great resource for medical care in the Columbia community, along with the T.J. Health Columbia Primary Care Clinic which was featured in last week's newsletter. The Columbia Clinic provides compassionate, quality care to the pediatric community on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Alisha Risen, APRN, serves patients from birth to 18 years of age, including children with special needs. (Alisha also treats pediatric patients in the T.J. Health Greensburg Clinic on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week.) They provide well baby/child exams, school and sports physicals, immunizations, treat acute illness and injuries, and manage chronic illnesses in conjunction with specialists. Front row, L to R: Kandace Webster, APRN, and Alisha Risen, APRN, CPNP. Back row, L to R: Margaret Bloyd, PSA, and Tara Ervin, LPN. In addition, Kandace Webster, APRN, sees adult patients in the Columbia Clinic on Tuesday and Friday afternoons. (Kandace also sees patients at the T.J. Health Columbia Primary Care Clinic each week.) The newest providers to treat patients at the Columbia Clinic are our Pulmonary Clinic providers. Dr. Carlos Kummerfeldt, Laura Howard, APRN, and Amanda Parsons- Cole, APRN, now provide convenient pulmonary care to the Columbia community on Mondays and Wednesdays each week from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Pulmonary Clinic providers are a very busy team, and they have many patients in the Adair County area who will be thrilled to have great care available so close to home. The following compliments were recently received about Pavilion employees. Thank you, Pod B Team, Tammy Shive, and Lucas Barlow, for your excellent customer service! POD B TEAM I just wanted to take a moment and say how thankful I am for the ladies working in my pod. While Sarah has been out, as well as other times, LaDarra, Jana, Sandy and Kelci step up and take on extra work with no complaints. They help with my desktop, rooming patients, refills, etc. - all things that are easily overlooked and add to an already busy day for them. Often the float nurses are not as familiar with our workflow, and they help each one every time. I want you to know what hard workers and assets to our team they are. - Linsey Neuhaus, MD TAMMY SHIVE Tammy was extremely helpful. She literally went out of her way to comply with my records. She was knowledgeable and very articulate. She smiled the entire time. I felt so comfortable. Very professional, too. LUCAS BARLOW Very nice. Very approachable. Very professional and knowledgeable about services here. I witnessed him taking care of a situation with a patient who did not have an appointment/referral. Lucas researched and the patient got his papers and appointment followed. Patient appeared happy and grateful. Congratulations to the Pavilion Ultrasound Team! The American College of Radiology's Committee on Ultrasound Accreditation has granted our facility accreditation for a threeyear period. We thank the Radiology/Ultrasound teams for their hard work to achieve this accomplishment! Congrats!
