Health Educatr, Julie Banda serves as a member f the Campus Dining Bard. She currently is wrking t build supprt fr a renewed visin f the bard that will have a clear missin and rle n campus. Several students with eating cncerns r dysfunctinal eating were identified and cnnected t apprpriate resurces based n this prgramming and the subsequent cnsultatins. MIT Medical Clinical Lunch Prgram, Natinal Cllege Health Assessment at MIT 2006 Results f the NCHA 2006 Data at MIT and Natinally was shared with clinical staff at MIT Medical including a discussin n what the result mean fr MIT Medical. Sexual Health, Relatinships, Wmen s Health, and LBGT Issues Sexual Health, Relatinships, Vilence Preventin and Respnse Cnducted mre than 20 individual face-t-face cnsultatins n sexual health and relatinship cncerns Cnducted mre than 20 prgrams and presentatins fr varius campus grups including student residences, administrative grups, and health care prviders. Tpics include sexual health, cntraceptin, sexually transmitted infectins, relatinships, and sexual assault. Managed the secnd year f the Department f Justice VAWA grant. We have had great success in recruiting frm FSILGs and all but 6 are represented with MedLinks; this year we hpe t achieve 100% saturatin. In the Fall f 2006, 52 new members cmpleted a 25+ hur training. With these new members the membership grew t ver 110 active members; dispersed within all f the drms and mst f the FSILGs. MedLinks fr the first year truly became student run with an active and effective executive bard. The bard revised and updated the prgram cnstitutin and missin statement during a Strategic Planning meeting fr utging and incming psitins. Data Cllectin and interactin mnitring. We have cntinued are wrk with IS&T t cmplete and launch the new Members Sectin and lgging system and database. This system will allw MedLinks view reprts fr themselves, their residence and the prgram as a whle t mnitr trends and cncerns. This infrmatin will serve individual medlinks, residences, Health Prmtin and the campus at large by helping t identify areas f interest. Guiding prgram and campus based resurces and health pririties. This demgraphic infrmatin is an untapped resurce. Tutring Plus f Cambridge aims t supprt and encurage the academic, persnal and scial grwth f children and yuth in Cambridge thrugh the use f vlunteers and existing cmmunity resurces. Over 25 students vlunteered their time t be auctined ff and MedLinks were able t fundraise and acquire gift certificates fr utings and events fr all f them. Bystander Prgram fr the entire IFC (Inter-Fraternity Cuncil) Leadership 30 IFC Presidents and executive bard members were expsed t a bystander prgram aimed at giving students the tls necessary t cmbat sexual vilence and sexism. Facebk/Stalking Prgram at McCrmick Hall 25 female students were expsed t definitins f stalking, what t d when yu are being stalked, and risk reductin f nline pages. Cntent included: Alchls physical, mental, and emtinal effects; what t d in an emergency situatin; hw t help a friend wh is abusing and what abuse lks like; hw t maximize the psitives alchl can give yu and minimize the negatives with an emphasis n abstaining frm drinking; and hw alchl can and has affected the cmmunity in which they live.
