VOLUNTEER EVENTS ON BASE Animal Shelter Volunteer Location: Volunteer Opportunities Ongoing - On Base Camp Pendleton Animal Shelter Duties: The Camp Pendlton Animal Shelter is in need of volunteers! Volunteers play a very important role at the shelter and are needed to fill a variety of roles, seven days/week: Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Minors 16-17 may also volunteer at the shelter, but he or she MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Preganant women may not volunteer at the shelter. Foster Care Volunteers must complete a mandatory foster care training. Volunteer shifts are flexible and available seven days/week: Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly. VOLUNTEER EVENTS ON BASE Name of Agency: MCCS Camp Pendleton Youth Sports Point of Contact: Teresa Graham (760) 725-4188, or Danielle Morris (760) 725-4188 Date the volunteers are needed: Season runs from Dec 9 2017 Feb 17, 2018 (however they can volunteer continuously) Time volunteers are needed: 2 practices a week (roughly 1 hr long) and games on Saturday (again roughly 1-2 hours long) Location: Location of practices, they can sign up for different housing areas, and then game days would be a few different areas depending upon sport Description of what they want the volunteer to do: Volunteers would coach Youth Sports programs (Soccer, Softball, Baseball, Flag Football, or Cheerleading) for a 9 week season. Help the children aboard Camp Pendleton learn to play a sport you love, grow as an individual, teach them skills to grow as an athlete! All volunteers who complete an entire season with us will receive an LOA with 112 volunteer hours on it as well as all approved head coaches (only) will receive a $20 MCX Gift card. *MCCS Youth Sports is in need of coaches for the Fall sports program, which will be Softball, Baseball, and Soccer. 1.
