MEMBERS OF THE MONTH This month we take the time to recognise three of our Industry s leading Houseboat Building businesses and in turn congratulate them on the amount of work recently put into these large projects to once again represent our region and industries with the highest level of quality craftsmanship Status Luxury Houseboats and the launching of Saffire Darren Withoos and his team at Status Luxury Houseboats were sourced by a client with very particular requirements in the planning, material sourcing and final outcome of having their dream Holiday Houseboat completed The Houseboat was to be three levels high and was to be the leading edge of style, décor, fittings and technology; nothing was to be overlooked in the planning of Saffire Soon preparation was underway for Saffire to be built from scratch in the Eildon Boat Club sheds where room soon became an issue for this mammoth project Construction continued on a hardstand adjacent to the Lakes edge Finally the day came for Saffire s maiden voyage Phil, Jeff and their team from Lake Eildon Marina Service (LEMS) were there ready to guide all 67 tonnes of Saffire to water The relief and pride of watching Saffire be guided onto the water shone on all faces to witness The Houseboat clearly exceeded all requirements and is a great credit to Darren and his team to have managed and executed their clients dream as brilliantly as they did Congratulations Status Luxury Houseboats!
