Welcome to Family and Friends Weekend! It is with great pleasure that we cordially invite you to our annual Family and Friends Weekend, October 27-29, 2017. We have a great weekend planned, so be sure to come and take advantage of our beautiful campus. There are many activities and events listed in detail on the following pages. Parking lots will be open for your convenience on Friday after 3 p.m. and all day Saturday and Sunday. Friday night Check out a hockey game for the start of the King s College hockey program. We also have on campus entertainment with magician Joseph Roéhm and trivia night. Saturday Be sure to head down to the fields to cheer on the Monarch football team as they compete against FDU Florham. Admission to the games is free to students, their families, and friends. Later that night will be BINGO our traditional crowd favorite! Faculty, staff, and students serve as callers for the various games! Please make sure to reserve your place early. Come out and support your King s College Monarchs. Revolution Ice Centre, Pittston 8 p.m. Joseph Réohm - Magician For the past two decades Joseph Réohm has honed his skills at various magical pursuits. He has performed intricate close-up magic in a small intimate setting, to performing in arenas with crowds of over 14,000 people and everything in between. King s College is excited to have Joseph performing on campus! Sheehy-Farmer Campus Center, 3rd floor 9:30 p.m. Trivia Night, Leo s on Mane Join us for a night of trivia after Joseph s performance. Come shop at the fair and support campus clubs and organizations. Caricaturist Get a free caricature done to remember the weekend! Chair Massages Relax with a chair massage a popular event with students that family and friends are sure to enjoy. Study Abroad Program Information Session 11 a.m. At 11 a.m. join the Director of the King s Study Abroad program, along with students and faculty who have recently participated in educational programs abroad, for a brief presentation on international study and internship options available to students for credit through King s. From 11:30 a.m -12:00 p.m. learn what it is like to study abroad from the perspective of the students who have lived this experience. This presentation will be followed by a Question and Answer Session from 12-12:30 p.m. Everyone is invited! Vigil Mass for Sunday 4:30 p.m. Mass for family and friends will be celebrated following the conclusion of the football game. All are welcome. J. Carroll McCormick Campus Ministry Center, Chapel of Christ the King Gospel Choir Concert - 7:00 p.m. Saint Bernardine s Gospel Choir will perform a free concert of traditional gospel songs and contemporary religious compositions as part of King s Experiencing the Arts series.
