Visas The European Union citizens do not require any visas to enter Lithuania. Those who need visas must apply for national visa at the nearest Lithuanian embassy ~3-4 weeks prior to the arrival. KTU Department of International Relations provides information and intermediation documents for visa and temporary residence permit (after arrival) procedures. migracija.lt Academic calendar The academic year consists of an autumn and a spring semester. The autumn semester always starts on the 1 st of September, and the beginning of the spring semester may vary a little (usually it starts in the beginning of February). Students are expected to arrive week/few days earlier for a Welcome week. ktu.edu/en/studies Living costs The cost of living is very much depending on individual habits and lifestyle. Students have to pay for their books and other academically related materials (if not provided by the library or teacher), also for accommodation.
