JOINPROF.COM/WORKSHOPS What U.S. government agency builds schools in other countries?

HEALTH IN HAITI Efficient sanitation systems, poor nutrition, and inadequate health services have pushed Haiti to the bottom of the World Bank s rankings of health indicators. According to the United Nations World Food Programme, 80 percent of Haiti s population lives below the poverty line. Consequently, malnutrition is a significant problem. Half the population can be categorized as food insecure, and half of all Haitian children are undersized as a result of malnutrition.

JOINPROF.COM/WORKSHOPS How many doctors per 10,000 people in America?

HEALTH STATISTICS IN HAITI Hospital and Facilities: Heath Care Facility (without beds) 198 Heath Care Facility (with beds) 54 Hospitals: 63 Doctor: With only 2.5 doctors per 10,000 people, access to health care is extremely limited, especially in rural areas such as Chabin where the ratio is as low as 0.2 physicians per 10,000 people. Some rural areas have none. Nurses: Research; shows that, Haiti occupies the last position of the ranking, with only 3.5 health professionals per 10,000 inhabitants, 2013 http://www.haitilibre.com/article-9888-haiti-sante-3-5-professionnels-de-la-sante-par-10-000- habitants.html In America in 2013 there were 125 healthcare professionals per 10,000 people.

JOINPROF.COM/WORKSHOPS In 2016, doctors in Haiti went on strike demanding $500 per month in pay. After negotiations the Haitian government offered them per month.

NURSES SALARY IN HAITI Salary: Nurses do not make a lot of money in Haiti. They do not get pay for their hard job. Patient is always their motivation to care first. And that s why to be nurse it should an inspired motivation!
