What is Give Miami Day? Give Miami Day is the largest annual giving event in the Southeast United States. Held online, Give Miami Day allows all individuals in our community to make a philanthropic impact by collectively supporting local nonprofit organizations. In 2015, Give Miami Day made history, raising $7.1 million for more than 600 local nonprofits. Nearly 17,000 donors spanning the city, nation and globe participated in the multi-million dollar movement. This year s Give Miami Day will take place on November 17, 2016. 24 hours of giving begins at 12 a.m. on November 17 and ends at 12 a.m. on November 18, 2016. How can you get involved? Nonprofits can participate in Give Miami Day by encouraging their donors to support them through online donations made at givemiamiday.org. The Miami Foundation fundraises to provide a bonus gift on every donation made by your donors, so dollars are stretched even further! In addition, there are $25,000 in cash prizes available throughout the day. Nonprofits that participate in Give Miami Day increase their online visibility, engage new donors and prospects, and join a movement to make philanthropic giving more democratic.
