This is the last weekend to purchase tickets for the fantabulous 175 th Anniversary Dinner at Geneva National. Tickets cannot be sold at the door on the day of the event, August 6 th. A celebration Mass will be held here at St. Francis at 3 PM prior to the dinner. Tickets are available today after Mass at the Welcome Center next to the chapel entrance and in the Parish Office. WELCOME, FR. HUGH FULLMER Welcome, Fr. Hugh Fullmer, a retired priest from Aurora, IN, who will be celebrating Mass at St. Francis de Sales and St. Benedict when additional help is needed. Fr. Hugh was born in Evanston, IL, Aug. 20, 1946, the third child of Joseph and Marie Guirsch Fullmer. He graduated from Immaculate Conception Grade School in Elmhurst in 1960, Quigley Preparatory Seminary North in 1964, Lewis University in 1968 and St. Meinrad Seminary in 1972. Fr. Hugh s first assignment was St. Isaac Jogues in Hinsdale from 1972 to 1979. He then served as Parochial Vicar at Holy Ghost in Wood Dale from 1976-81 followed by St. Alexander s in Villa Park from 1981-86. In 1986 Fr. Hugh was transferred to St. Peter s in Itasca. In 1988, Fr. Hugh was made Pastor of St. Joseph s in Lockport where he served until going to Our Lady of Mercy in Aurora, IN in 2000. Fr. Hugh was Pastor of Our Lady if Mercy until 2017. HELP FOR NEW PARENTS Catholic Charities Pregnancy and Parenting Supportive Services program was awarded a grant through the Aurora Better Together Fund to offer in-home therapy for moms and dads who are expecting a child or have an infant in their home. The therapist assists clients who have a mental health diagnosis or those who may be struggling with postpartum depression.
