We are in search of a bilingual (Spanish/English) Certified Pharmacy Technician to deliver outstanding customer service in the overall coordination and processing of patient medication orders and refills. Our hours of business are 8AM 6PM Monday through Friday- with occasional weekends. Our positions are full-time (40 hours), and benefit eligible upon completion of a short probationary period. Your daily duties will include talking with patients, doctors, and facilities in order to process prescriptions and data entry. We re looking for experienced, compassionate, patient-focused Pharmacy Technicians with exceptional customer service and communication skills. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Provide exemplary customer service to all patients and caregivers. Adjudicates patient claims. Maintain patient records with strong attention to detail. Serve as a liaison between the pharmacists and other medical professionals as appropriate. Ensures orders are processed in a timely manner and meet clinical requirements prior to fulfillment. Other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Stand for long periods. Pick and pinch small tablets with fingers, and seize, hold,
grasp or turn objects with hands. Perceive the size, shape, temperature, or texture of objects by touching with fingertips. Lift and push or pull up to 10 pounds. See objects at close vision and be able to identify and distinguish colors. Be at least 18 years of age (or as required by state law). Pass a drug test. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Able to read, write, and speak English and Spanish fluently. Ability to solve problems and communicate issues clearly. Team-oriented. Accurate data entry skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong prioritization and organizational skills. Strong time management and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. Flexible and proactive to meet varied patient needs. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Able to effectively present information to the patient and in small group situations. Dedicated to excellence and quality. Able to collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
Strong interpersonal and people skills. Ability to use multiple software programs to fulfill medication orders. Maintain a strict level of confidentiality. Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; this may include using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and being able to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Passion to help people and enrich their lives. Can play the accordion. Just kidding, that s optional. Required Education, Experience, Certification, Licenses: Must be 18+ years of age. High school diploma /GED required. Must be able to read, write and speak fluent Spanish and English. Prior experience with third party billing, customer service and data entry, preferred.
