TRAFFIC & PARKING INFORMATION SITUATION: There is frequent heavy traffic congestion on Interstate 64 in the vicinity of Hampton University, especially eastbound on I-64 (from Hampton towards Norfolk) during both morning and evening rush hours. RECOMMENDATIONS: #1: Get Here Early and Give Yourself Plenty of Time. #2: Be Prepared to Use an Alternate to the I-64 Settlers Landing exit (Exit 267), which is heavily congested. ALTERNATE I-64 EAST EXITS (From Richmond/Newport News): LaSalle Ave (Exit 265A) Take exit 265A, turn right on LaSalle Ave., then turn left on Settlers Landing Road, about two miles to the Hampton University entrance at Tyler St., turn right on Tyler St., then an immediate left on Emancipation Blvd, follow the officers directions to the parking area. Armistead/Langley AFB (Exit 265C) Take exit 265C, turn right on Rip Rap Road, then turn left on N.
