MOSS BOOK CLUB - Dr. Kimberly Murray, Assistant Professor of Sociology, leads a John F. Moss Library Book Club conversation on Tuesday about Between the World and Me, a 2015 New York Times bestseller by Ta-Nehisi Coates. Participants discussed the author s understanding of race in America, both past and present, the criminal justice system and race, the educational system and race, and the ways in which he describes parenting styles by race. The next John F. Moss Libary Book Club event is Feb. 28 from 12:15-1:30 p.m. and will feature Dr. Rebecca Martindale, who will be discussing Searching for Whitopia by Richard Benjamin. A light lunch will be served.
