REGISTRATION You may register via our online registration system or by mail. Phone registrations are not accepted. Early registration tuition fees apply to all registrations created at least 30 days prior to the start of the event. PAYMENT INFORMATION: Payments can be made via check or card 3-weeks prior to the event. The office will begin to process payments 3-weeks prior to the event. Event information will not be released until payment is processed. Payments must be paid in full before the event no exceptions. Please mail checks to 7334 Whitehall Street, Richland Hills, TX 76118. If paying via card, please call the office at 866-695-4144. Registrations must be paid in full before any event information is dispersed. This includes event schedules, competition orders, studio packets, scholarship numbers, wristbands, etc. Space is limited, therefore registration at the door is not guaranteed. On-site workshop registrations must be paid for by cash, credit card, or cashier s check. Personal checks are not accepted at any time. Dancers are required to register for the workshop in order to compete. However, dancers are not required to compete in order to attend the workshop. All scholarships will be verified in the office for all registrations. For mail-in registrations, please attach the scholarship to the workshop registration form. All returned checks are subject to a $35 fee. All registrations are non-refundable. Absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS. Minis and Juniors may be combined in some cities. Teens and Seniors may be combined in some cities. Teachers attending more than one regional workshop with competing students may attend any additional cities free of charge. ONE-DAY WORKSHOP One-day workshop registration is allowed; however, one-day participants are NOT eligible for any scholarships and may NOT compete. Dancer scholarships do not apply to one-day rates. OBSERVERS Observer wristbands are available for purchase with paid students only and must not be Studio Owners, Teachers, Assistant Teachers, or Dancers. Observers may observe any of the Sparks, Mini, Junior, Teen or Senior ballrooms during specified times, but are NOT allowed to observe scholarship auditions. All registered Sparks dancers will receive ONE complimentary Observer wristband Make sure wristbands are visible to staff at all times during workshop classes in the Sparks, Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior rooms. Please remain in designated areas and keep belongings tidy to allow the maximum space for dancers. Only one chair per Observer. Seating is not guaranteed. No excessive noise, talking, or phone calls during classes. It is distracting to the faculty and dancers. Photography or video recording is not allowed during the workshop classes or competition. Photos may be taken in-between classes. One-day Observer wristbands are not available. Observer wristbands are NON-REFUNDABLE. No exceptions. The number of Observers allowed into ballrooms is limited. If limit is reached prior to convention, Observer wristbands will not be sold at the door. Observer wristbands are not required for attendance at the competition or closing show. The convention has the right to revoke any Observer privileges. Page 2 of 5

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE The workshop schedule may vary from city to city and is subject to change. A tentative schedule will be posted online one week prior to the event. A final schedule will be posted the day before the event. Be sure to check the revised on date at the top of the schedule to guarantee you are following the most up to date version. SCHOLARSHIPS All Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior dancers (ages 8-19) that are registered for the full 2-day workshop will participate in scholarship auditions. Dancers must audition by their age as of January 1, 2018. If a dancer moves up to a higher level for classes, they MUST audition in the higher level room for scholarships. If a dancer moves down an age level, they are no longer eligible for scholarships. The Faculty initiates the selection process by assessing not only the individual s talent, but also their level of participation, enthusiasm, and interaction with other dancers. Dancers are only eligible for one scholarship per city. SUMMER EVENT SCHOLARSHIPS Summer Event scholarships are awarded to Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior age divisions as selected by the faculty in each city. Recipients of this scholarship receive FULL convention tuition off at any single 2018 Summer Event and can bring up to 5 friends for 50% to the same Summer Event. Note: Friend discounts cannot be used at separate Summer Events. SINGLE CONVENTION SCHOLARSHIPS Single Convention scholarships are awarded to Sparks, Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior age levels as selected by the faculty in each city. Recipients of this award are entitled to: Free SINGLE 2018-2019 regional convention tuition scholarship DANCE CREW Dance Crew is awarded to dancers in the Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior age divisions chosen by the Faculty based on individual performance and work ethic in classes, therefore increasing visibility and recognition for dancers who excel in specific genres. Dancers need not audition for Performance Crew to be eligible for Dance Crew. Recipients of this award are entitled to: 50% off convention tuition scholarship to one of the 2018 National Dance Honors events 50% off your first regional convention tuition in 2018-2019 $200 off any single 2018 Summer Event Eligible to compete for Honored Dancer and participate in the Honored Crew Experience Page 3 of 5

PERFORMANCE CREW Performance Crew is awarded to Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior age divisions as selected by the faculty in each city. Recipients of this award are entitled to: Perform in the closing show at their regional city Receive a complimentary Crew t-shirt Free convention tuition scholarship to one of the 2018 National Dance Honors events 50% off your first regional convention tuition in 2018-2019 $200 off any single 2018 Summer Event Eligible to compete for Honored Dancer and participate in the Honored Crew Experience Performance Crew recipients attending more than one city must re-audition for the opportunity to perform in the closing show. Returning Performance Crew recipients are required to bring their Crew t-shirt; dancers will not receive a second complimentary t-shirt. ELITE CREW Elite Crew is awarded to Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior age divisions selected from each Performance Crew in each city. In addition to all of the Performance Crew entitlements, the recipient of this award is entitled to: UNLIMITED free convention tuition through May 2019 effective the date the scholarship is awarded Full tuition scholarship to any single 2018 Summer Event ADVANTAGE The Advantage Scholarship is presented to studio directors in an effort to encourage dancers to embrace the convention experience. Each studio that brings 40 or more full paying dancers to the workshop will receive a single convention scholarship to award to one dancer from their studio. This allows the student to come back to one convention workshop free of charge during the 2018-2019 regional season! SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES All ages are as of January 1, 2018 Scholarships are valid from the date of presentation until August 31, 2018. Only convention workshop fees are paid. All other expenses, such as competition fees, are not included in the scholarship award. Scholarships are single use only and cannot be transferred from one convention to another. Dancers who receive scholarships at both Adrenaline and Revive may apply one scholarship per national event. Scholarships awarded at one convention are non-transferable or exchangeable for another convention. Scholarships cannot be combined with any other offer. All scholarships must be used before the expiration date printed on the scholarship voucher One-day registration students are NOT eligible for scholarships Dancers ages 20+ are not eligible for scholarships Page 4 of 5

HONORED DANCER Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior dancers who received a regional Dance Crew or Performance Crew scholarship during the 2017-2018 regional season are invited to compete for Honored Dancer at one of the 2018 National Dance Honors events. Honored Dancer winners in the Mini, Junior, and Teen age divisions receive TWO YEARS of Regional Workshop Scholarships to Adrenaline and Revive as well as free tuition to all 2018 Summer Events. Winners in the Senior age division receive LIFETIME Regional Workshop Scholarships to Adrenaline and Revive as well as free tuition to all 2018 Summer Events. Winners in all age divisions receive free tuition to The National Dance Honors 2019. 1st and 2nd Runners-Up receive ONE YEAR of Regional Workshop Scholarships to Adrenaline and Revive. TEACHER INFORMATION Upon arrival at the event, we invite all Studio Directors and Teachers to attend our Teacher Meet-and-Greet for a rundown of the weekend. Here we will discuss storage of props and answer any last minute questions you may have. This is where you will pick up your studio s registration packet, including your dancers scholarship numbers and wristbands. If you are unable to attend the Teacher Meet-and-Greet, your registration packet will be available at the Registration Desk. There will be a variety of VIP experiences for Teachers, including reserved seating during competition and the closing show plus specialized classes and various refreshing experiences. Registered Teachers have access to all Sparks, Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior workshop classes and auditions. We understand that Teachers and students may not arrive at the same time on Friday; therefore, dancers will not be required to wear their wristbands and scholarship numbers until Saturday. CONCIERGE SERVICE This is a private phone line given out to Studio Owners/Directors at the time of check-in. This service will provide you a dedicated representative to assist in all aspects of your experience. We are available to help facilitate prop load-in times, music submissions, wristbands, competition scheduling, discount hotel rooms (when applicable), luggage storage, and other key elements to help make your weekend run as smooth as possible. Studio Directors will receive personalized concierge service from arrival at our event to departure.
