President In cnsultatin with the IEEE Bard f Directrs and IEEE Crprate Staff, prvides leadership and sets directin fr Bard engagement Assists in cnducting Bard member rientatin; Prepares agenda fr bard meetings; Calls special meetings if necessary; Appints members t Bard cmmittees and task frces; Prmtes utstanding Bard develpment and gvernance practices; and encurages every bard member t carry ut the rles and respnsibilities f bard service; Represents the IEEE Bard f Directrs in setting f Executive Directr s annual gals and cnducts the annual Perfrmance f Executive Directr; Serves as pint f cntact fr Bard members n bard issues, prmtes meaningful dialgue at Bard meetings, respect thers right t speak and give every bard member an pprtunity t cntribute; Meets with any directr wh is nt adequately perfrming his r her duties as a member f the Bard r any cmmittee; Facilitates cmmunicatin between ther members f the Bard and the Executive Directr; hwever each directr is free t cmmunicate directly with the Executive Directr;

Is cmmitted t advancing the missin f IEEE thrugh vlunteer/staff partnerships; Has a glbal perspective; Is a gd cmmunicatr in bth frmal and infrmal settings; Is utward lking and able t be a respected spkespersn n the large glbal gvernmental and business stage; Is scially adept in all types f settings; Is able t wrk effectively with thers; Has a lng-term visin fr IEEE and is able t lead in endeavrs that will reach fruitin beynd the President s term.
