Tara Turkey Physician Assistant Board Eligible June 2009 Jan 1 st, 2016 Dear Ms. Garro: I am applying for a Physician Assistant position in emergency medicine in. My anticipated graduation is on May 19 th, 2016 from Johnson & Wales University. I am eligible for NCCPA board certification two weeks post-graduation with subsequent eligibility for Rhode Island state licensure. I am pursuing this position in emergency medicine, because I would like to combine my skills, personality traits and interests within a position that allows me to diagnose and treat acute injuries. I will have acquired surgical skills from my experiences in urgent care, general surgery, and pediatric emergency medicine, where I performed procedures such as suturing, excision of sebaceous cysts and basal cell carcinomas, and incision and drainage of abscesses, amongst other procedures. My elective in cardiology and pulmonology enabled me to build a more solid foundation of primary care medicine which is essential in understanding patient s health care needs. My previous work experience in occupational therapy at Northwestern Center for Orthopedics enabled me to, not only expand my knowledge in orthopedic injuries, but allowed me to further develop my communication skills while realizing the importance of a team approach to patient care. Additionally, I have volunteered through various organizations and in multiple settings throughout Chicago which demonstrates my personal integrity. I also have strong work ethic which allows me to learn quickly but still maintain a conscientious approach. I hope to become an integral member of your team and provide your patients with a satisfying health care experience. You will find me to be an energetic, confident and personable provider with whom your patients will rely. I hope to further discuss my interests in the emergency medicine field with you at your convenience. I can be reached via my cell phone, 401-555-4578. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to speaking with you about this employment opportunity. Sincerely, Tara Turkey Enclosure: resume
