Deutsche Bank Born to Be Study Award Application Form At Deutsche Bank we believe that education is key to enabling young people to fulfil their potential and become who they were born to be. We invest in education and a range of other initiatives to support children and young people all over the world as part of our Born to Be youth engagement programme. We are privileged to extend this support to University of Malaya students to celebrate our 50 th anniversary in Malaysia this year. The Deutsche Bank Born to Be Study Award is open to all University of Malaya undergraduates facing financial difficulties. If you have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 and would like to make a positive impact in the lives of others, we invite you to apply. Award value Each successful applicant is awarded RM 2,000 per year for their education fees. The amount will be disbursed twice a year. Eligibility 1) The applicant must be a current undergraduate of the University of Malaya. 2) The applicant must be a citizen of Malaysia. 3) The applicant must be currently pursuing a first degree (full-time), with a minimum CGPA of 3.00. 4) The applicant must have a household income of less than RM 5,000 per month. 5) The Award is open to students in all disciplines. Preferred disciplines include: a) Computer Science and Information Technology (to amend as per name of course in the University) b) Business Management / Accountancy / Economics (to amend as per name of course in the University)
Terms and conditions 1) The successful Study Award recipient must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.00 every semester. 2) The Award recipient is required to work with other Award recipients on a community service project. 3) Deutsche Bank is not obliged to provide Award recipients with an internship or any future job opportunities. 4) The Award recipient consents to Deutsche Bank using his/her name and/or photograph as part of our internal and external communication, including media releases and publicity material. 5) Deutsche Bank reserves the right to terminate the Study Award immediately without notice if: a) The Award recipient fails to abide by the terms and conditions set out herein and/or any other terms and conditions as may be advised by Deutsche Bank from time to time; b) The Award recipient commits a criminal offence or is found to have committed a disciplinary offence against the University s Statutes and Regulations; c) The Award recipient participates in activities or acts in a manner which is, or is likely to be, adverse to the interests of Deutsche Bank, or which cause, or is likely to cause, embarrassment to Deutsche Bank d) The Award recipient s candidature at the University of Malaya is terminated for whatever reason. 6) Deutsche Bank may, at its discretion, review and amend the terms and conditions herein from time to time.
