Submunitions Clearance System (SCS) Mission: The SCS will allow the EOD technician to rapidly render safe/neutralize large quantities of submunitions by remote means. Characteristics/Description: The SCS will primarily consist of a modified commercial, remote-controlled weapons aiming platform and use a service-approved rifle. The aiming platform may be mounted to a vehicle, tripod, or robotic platform. The system will complement and augment the EOD technician during extremely hazardous EOD missions, specifically those related to scatterable submunitions incident sites.
