FRIGATE NIEDERSACHSEN BREMEN (TYPE 122) CLASS frigate Together with her sister ships FGS BREMEN (F207), RHEINLAND- PFALZ (F209), EMDEN (F210), KÖLN (F211), KARLSRUHE (F212), AUGSBURG (F213) and LÜBECK (F214), FGS NIEDERSACHSEN (F208) belongs to the German Frigate Class 122 programme consisting of eight units. The first four units are subsumed under the 4th Frigate Squadron, the last four units under the 2nd Frigate Squadron. The homeport of both squadrons is Wilhelmshaven, Germany. FGS NIEDERSACHSEN in the Mediterranean Sea (Autumn 2003)
