Report Cards will be going home on December 11. This time of year is a very special time for many of our children and their families. We are looking forward to our Dec 3- Family Fun Night- Santa will be arriving at Cannon and we will be hosting a pizza dinner starting at 3:30. ALL ARE WELCOMED TO JOIN US!! Please bring a non-perishable food item for under the tree. Also we have our seasonal Concerts planned for Dec 9 Junior/ Intermediate @ 7:00 Primary Dec 16 @ 7:00 and Kindergarten Dec 17 @ 1:00. Lots of opportunities to see our students performing from K 8!! We do hope that many of you will be able to join us as we celebrate the Christmas season and all its festivities!! Thank you goes out to those supporting our school food, toy and humane society drive! Your generosity will be greatly appreciated! Also special thanks goes out to the Kiwanis Club of Oshawa for donating warm clothing for our students. Lastly, regardless of how you celebrate the Christmas Season, the Dr. C.F. Notes FROM THE MUSIC DEPARTMENT The Junior /Intermediate Winter concert is Wed. Dec. 9 th at 7:00 p.m. Performances will be by the choir, concert band and jazz band. The conclusion will be our traditional audience sing-a-long of Auld Lang Syne. The Primary Winter concert is Wednesday Dec. 16 th 7:00 p.m. for grades 1 to 3. The students will be presenting The Grumps of Ring-A-Ding Town. The conclusion will be audience participation of numerous familiar carols. Remembrance Day Ceremony - A heartfelt thank you to all for their special contributions in recognizing our Veterans at the ceremony. Thank you to the classes of Mrs. Kuypers and Mrs. Berry for their lovely peace dove art display. Also a big thanks to the Int. art classes of Mrs. Campbell for their beautiful art work that graced the walls of the gym. In addition, the individual class wreaths were greatly appreciated as they adorned our foyer. Thank you to the Cannon O'Canada musicians, choir, Mrs. Campbell's gr. 8 class, and the following narrators - Gage, Hailey, John-Alan, and Niveya. How fortunate we were to have Mrs. Berry's husband and son play the Pipes and Drum! Special thanks to Mrs. Cox, Mrs. Noone, Mrs. Campbell, Madame Melanson, Mr. Pearson, Mr. Brunt, Gage Juranyi, Ben Rusk, Marriah Rusk and Stephanie Boivin. Also, kudos to our Cannon students who exemplified stellar behaviour by showing the utmost respect to our fallen who gave the ultimate sacrifice to their country.
