The School That Works DO YOU WANT TO BE A DOCTOR, TEACHER, LAWYER OR ENGINEER? High school is the time to start figuring that out. Our Professional Work-Study Program can give you career ideas you ve never considered or give you the opportunity to try out a field you already have an interest in, all while earning money to cover much of the cost to attend. You will work with doctors, lawyers, managers, vice presidents and other exciting people who will provide professional guidance for you. Some may even hire you for the summer and after you graduate college. Colleges and future employers love this! REAL-WORLD WORK EXPERIENCE STARTS YOUR CAREER PATH NOW. All Cristo Rey Columbus students work five days per month in companies around the city. On work days you will come to school in the morning, have breakfast, prayer, a quick morning meeting, and then hop in our provided transportation to go to work. At the end of the day the transportation brings you back to school. Note: Some students who work very close to the school will walk when weather permits. Your academic schedule is planned around work so you never miss class days. Your salary is sent to school so you re actually paying part of the cost of your own education during your work-study experience.
