BACKGROUND In order to facilitate partnership building opportunities between UK and Colombian institutions and strengthen understanding of Colombia s market in research and innovation, the British Council Colombia and the British Embassy in liaison with Tecnnova and University of Antioquia are now opening recruitment for the Research Groups and Building Partnerships Roadshow around TECNNOVA s Innovation and Business Roundtables : Connecting challenges, opportunities and solution. The event will bring together researches, senior stakeholders and international officers from universities, private companies and government agencies in Plaza Mayor, the main convention centre of Medellin. Participation is limited to targeted audiences from universities, public and private organizations and is only open to high level stakeholders and buyers of applied research from Colombia. This event aims to connect challenges, opportunities and solutions effectively, by linking researcher groups, higher education institutions and key organizations from the private and public sectors. It becomes an ideal setting for interaction between companies, universities and the government to build together solutions and create strong relationships. The success and reputation of this event is based on their unique target groups. ABOUT MEDELLIN Medellín is Colombia s second largest city. It is pleasant and modern, with an average temperature of 24 o C.
