New reporting format: You ll note on the agenda that we have blocked off a little over an hour on Friday for Program Summaries Round Table by Institution. All institutional representative for each affiliate institution must prepare a one-page report to share during this round table discussion. Because our affiliates are diverse and participate in LaSPACE programs at various levels, your reports will also vary. Construct them as you see fit overall. However, several broad categories should be addressed by everyone: a. Full contact info for the institutional rep: Name, email, phone, mailing address, etc. b. Summary of activities since last meeting (Oct 2012 Sept 2013) (for campuses this will obviously include a listing of awards granted via LaSPACE and/or NASA EPSCoR. All affiliates should also take stock of additional related activities that support/advance our mission and goals. For example, we hope Roy Keller, Director of Louisiana Technology Transfer Office will brief us on some NASA events he s recently attended.) c. Proposed activities for the next year (Sept 2013 Sept 2014). Same concept as above, but focused on future plans. d. Expectations & Needs: Do you have any specific requests for support from the LaSPACE management team? Anything new we might offer our affiliates or new methods to old offerings, etc. LURA-focused speaker needed: The person I invited to speak on the LaSPACE LURA Award program has not responded. If any of you experienced with the LURA program (and not already scheduled to speak) are interested in covering this talk, please let me know ASAP. (You may also recommend a colleague not on the council). All speakers: we have allotted 30 minutes for most talks. We expect your actual talk to run around 20 minutes with the remainder left for discussion. Hotel rooms have been blocked off for Thurs, Fri, Sat night at a rate of $99. Meetings will start promptly at 10:30 am on Friday. Doors will be open by 10 am for checkin and set up. If you are giving a talk, please arrive closer to 10 am to get your presentation slides loaded onto the main computer. We will all be presenting from a single machine. Put your one-page institutional report and presentation slides on a flash drive with clearly named file titles for easy loading and retrieval. (You can also email these files to Colleen in advance, no later than Wednesday, September 11th). We will put your report on the overhead screen when it is your turn to brief the council so we must have these electronically. You re welcome to bring copies to distribute as well, but it s not required. The Student Poster Session will close out the meeting, from 2:30 to 5 pm on Saturday. Light refreshments will be served to all attendees. Students need to hang their posters by 2 pm. a. I am waiting on student names/email addresses from ULL and SUBR. As soon as I

have those (hopefully by tomorrow), I will email the whole group. Poster size is flexible: I recommend 36x48, but posters prepared for other events with different dimensions are wholly welcome.
