Service verview Referrals will be sught and accepted frm within the DHB, and fllwed up with an assessment f the patient s barriers t quitting. Pririty will be given t patients at risk f re-admittance frm smking related illnesses r thse n the elective surgery waiting list. Patients will be ffered persnalized advice n a range f pharmaclgical supprt ptins including nictine replacement therapy (NRT), Nrtriptyline, Buprpin, and Varenicline. Patients will be ffered telephne r ne-t-ne supprt fr up t 2 mnths after they have successfully quit. Telephne supprt will be ffered fr an additinal 12 mnths after they have quit.
