Conference introduction The Australian Veterinary Students Conference is a well-recognised, student run annual conference for the benefit of veterinary students, their mentors and companies within the veterinary industry. The attendees are the future industry professionals, and this event is an opportunity for them to explore the industry before transitioning to practice. The conference program will cover areas of animal production, large animal medicine and surgery, small animal practice and industry awareness, as well as a full calendar of social events Lectures and practicals will be run by experts from the CSU School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences as well as clinicians and industry leaders. The full timetable will be released in due course. Who will attend? Veterinary students from across Australia and New Zealand will be invited to attend, with numbers estimated at 120. A range of lectures and practicals will be offered throughout the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday afternoon and Thursday. Field trips to local farm businesses are scheduled for Wednesday morning. The Trade Fair will be during lunch (12-1pm) on Thursday the 25 th, with the ball on that evening. Australia Day on Friday the 26 th will be an opportunity for attendees to relax as the conference concludes. Students who choose to stay in the accommodation at the university will check in on Sunday the 21 st and check out on Saturday the 27 th of January.
Conditions of sponsorship The AVSC 2017 committee reserve the right to accept or reject any application for sponsorship at our discretion with the return of any deposit paid. All sponsorship packages are GST inclusive. Payment terms We require a 25% deposit to secure your sponsorship spot and then full payment before 01/12/2017. If payment instalments are required, please request this at time of booking. A tax invoice will be supplied to the email as supplied on your application form. Confirming sponsorship Please submit your sponsorship application via email to thisisellen@live.com, on receipt of your application we will send a confirmation letter and an invoice for your 25% holding deposit. Cancellation policy Cancellations must be received in writing to the AVSC2017 committee by Monday 30 October 2017. Cancellations received prior to 30 October 2017 will be refunded in full. Cancellations received after this date are non-refundable. Insurance and liability 1. All Exhibitors must have public liability insurance for the period of the exhibition and must be able to produce this documentation immediately at the request of the Organiser. Exhibitors must provide written evidence of current public liability insurance by 1 December 2017. 2. Exhibitors must insure, indemnify and hold the Organiser harmless in respect of all damages, injuries, costs, claims, demands, expenses and interest for which the Organiser may become liable. 3. Whilst the Organiser will endeavour to protect exhibition property whilst on display at the exhibition, it must be clearly understood that the venue, the Organising Committee and the Organiser cannot accept liability for any loss or damage to property sustained or occasioned from any cause whatsoever. 4. The Organiser shall not be liable for any loss, which the Exhibitor may incur as a result of the intervention of any Authority, which prevents the use of the premises or any part thereof in any manner whatsoever. 5. The Organiser will not be liable and makes no guarantee of the number of visitors to the exhibition. Equally the Organiser will not be accountable for the level of commercial activity generated.
