We are growing to better serve you

Message from Robert L. Lord, Jr. Martin Health System President and CEO Founded in 1939, Martin Health System has a rich history of providing care to residents of the Treasure Coast. What began as a single hospital in Stuart has blossomed into a comprehensive health care system. Today, Martin Health offers a full continuum of care ranging from preventive to acute and post-acute care across Martin and St. Lucie counties. With three hospitals and 13 locations spread from St. Lucie West to Hobe Sound, Martin Health seeks to be where our patients need us the most. Martin Health has been providing care to residents of St. Lucie County for more than 30 years, beginning with an urgent care center located on Port St. Lucie Boulevard in the 1980s. Since then we have expanded to three locations that include Tradition Medical Center a 90-bed acute care hospital in west Port St. Lucie St. Lucie West and a location in east Port St. Lucie on Tiffany Ave. At each of those locations we offer a wide range of services, including primary care and specialist physicians, rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, lab draw stations and more. Our St. Lucie West facility includes a freestanding emergency department, which offers the same services as a traditional ER, as well as radiation oncology care for cancer patients. As west Port St. Lucie continues to expand, so have we. Tradition Medical Center, which opened in December 2013, has been incredibly busy since its inception. We designed the Medical Center to meet the growing needs of the surrounding community and provide the most efficient, effective and comfortable care possible to our patients and their families. This is our commitment to the people of Port St. Lucie. 2 Tradition Medical Center

The presence of Tradition Medical Center in the west Port St. Lucie community has brought a renewed sense of possibility and a focus on innovation and exceptional health care. What s New? In October 2015, Martin Health broke ground on the expansion of Tradition Medical Center which will add 170,000 square feet and three stories. When completed in late 2017, the state-of-the-art, acute care hospital will double in size, with a total of nine stories and 90 new patient rooms. The expansion includes the following service enhancements: Interventional lab for cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology and vascular procedures Expanded maternity and neonatal intensive care units 18-bed observation unit designed to improve the flow of emergency patients who require extended or overnight stays Expanded intensive care unit and creation of a 12-bed progressive care unit Expanded inpatient capacity A new medical office building, which includes an outpatient surgery center, will be attached to the hospital Tradition Medical Center 3

Growing the Tradition in Health Care When the expansion is complete, Tradition Medical Center will have a total of 180 patient rooms and provide a comprehensive range of services: 27 Emergency Department rooms Enhanced Labor and Delivery Unit 10 Neonatal Intensive Care Rooms 18 Observation Unit Beds 4 Operating Suites 20 Intensive Care Beds 12 Progressive Care Beds Inpatient Pediatric Unit Infusion Suite General and Specialized Medicine Interventional Lab Ambulatory Surgery Center GI/Endoscopy Diagnostic Imaging, including MRI, CT Laboratory 4 Tradition Medical Center

Timeline December 13, 2013 Tradition Medical Center opened its doors. Almost immediately, the hospital exceeded projections. During the first 18 months of operation, the Medical Center was at full capacity two to three days every week and had a total of 9,000 admissions, 53,000 emergency room visits, 4,000 surgeries and 2,200 births. October 21, 2015 Groundbreaking for hospital s Phase 2 expansion. Anticipated completion December 2016 Observation Unit Interventional Lab Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Fall 2017 Bed Tower (6th, 7th and 8th floors) Additional CT Scanner Spring 2018 Pediatric Unit Tradition Medical Center 5

Celebrating our Associates, Physicians and Volunteers With a wide range of health care services and approximately 4,000 associates, 900 volunteers and 400 affiliated physicians, Martin Health System offers unlimited opportunity for career growth and personal development. Since opening its doors in late 2013, the Medical Center has brought an influx of hospital employees, physicians, patients and visitors to the area, resulting in a significant economic impact on the surrounding community. As the expansion of Tradition Medical Center is completed in early 2018, Martin Health expects to add approximately 400 new jobs at the hospital. According to a recent study to assess Martin Health s economic impact on the community, these 400 new associates at Tradition Medical Center will earn approximately $22 million in annual income, with a total projected consumer spending of $18 million. Martin Health System offers its associates the opportunity to grow and realize personal aspirations. Visit our career center at martinhealth.org/careers. 6 Tradition Medical Center

Philanthropy at Martin Health System The Martin Health Foundation makes it possible for Martin Health System to achieve its mission of providing exceptional care, hope and compassion to every person, every time. Since its inception in 1983, the Foundation has raised over $97 million which has helped provide our community with access to cutting edge technologies and equipment, skilled nurses and physicians, and new service lines such as the Frances Langford Heart Center at Martin Health. Fundraising dollars make up more than 50 percent of the Martin Health System bottom line each year. As the only not-for-profit hospital system in St. Lucie and Martin counties, Martin Health relies on contributions to meet growing needs and provide the advanced health care our communities expect and deserve. Philanthropy has played a vital role in helping Martin Health satisfy the health care needs of Port St. Lucie, one of south Florida s fastest growing communities. Tradition Medical Center was designed to provide the most efficient, effective and comfortable care possible to its patients and their families. Martin Health s commitment to quality will continue as it strives to stay in step with Port St. Lucie s projected growth of 71 percent from 2010 to 2030. Without philanthropy, Tradition Medical Center would not be the state-of-the art facility that the community has come to know and expect. Learn how you can help by calling the Martin Health Foundation at 772.223.5634 or visit us at Give.mhf.org. I see the impact of my support and the difference it is making in our community. Join me and guarantee that your loved ones have the best health care available to them, right here in our own backyard. Jack Forde, Martin Health Foundation chairperson Tradition Medical Center 7
