Please join us in congratulating Officer Randy Dalton as PGPD's August, 2017 "Employee of the Month." Officer Dalton is commended for his proactive efforts of protecting life and property. Through his interdiction efforts he recovered stolen firearms, removed several weapons from convicted felons, and he executed several arrests involving both drug and gun charges. Thank you Randy for all of your efforts towards keeping our community a safe place for all to enjoy. -Chief Keith Early Officer Justin Gilbert graduated from the 89th Basic Law Enforcement Academy on September 7, 2017. RUN. HIDE. FIGHT. - SURVIVING AN ACTIVE SHOOTER INCIDENT The Prince George Police Department in cooperation with Prince George Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) provided training to citizens and business members on September 7th. Officer s Skelton (pictured on the left) and Shreves (pictured on the right) provided participants with the history and prevalence of active shooter events, the role of professional guardians, and civilian response to these types of events. Thanks to the LEPC for putting this informative training together. Crime alert: There has been a rash of car break-ins! Please don't make it easy for a thief.
