Member Services Basic membership with VolunteerNow is free to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, government entities, and for-profit* hospitals and hospices with a volunteer mandate. There are many local services available to our member organization in North Texas; most are free and some have modest fees based upon usage. *For-profit organizations with a volunteer mandate may use VOLY.org, however you must be a nonprofit to qualify for additional services.

VOLY.org Recruits VOLY.org is an easy-to-use, web-based service that offers you a customized profile page where daily visitors can view and respond to your volunteer opportunities You can post any number of one-time or on-going volunteer opportunities and include photos to capture the attention of individuals and groups who share a passion for your cause. Multiple filters and a built-in map provide skill and interest matching and automate the prescreening of volunteer applicants so those who respond to your postings have the interest, skills and availability to meet your needs. Built-in social media tools help you and your volunteers spread the word about available opportunities.

9

VOLY.org Engages As volunteers participate, VOLY.org learns their interests and sends them weekly emails encouraging further engagement, which gives you an ongoing flow of volunteers. Each profile and every post has a unique URL, so you can link volunteer directly to your profile page and to specific opportunities. VOLY.org will send reminders to volunteers you approve and thank you notes when hours are reported. Enlarge your network by building a Fan base with contact information stored in VOLY.org Your VOLY.org profile page includes links to your website, your social media pages and your on-line donations page.

VOLY.org Saves Time Simple built-in templates allow you to post compelling volunteer opportunities in minutes. VOLY.org saves past opportunities for your to duplicate, edit and re-post, as needed. VOLY.org includes built-in automated tools for tracking, scheduling and reporting volunteer activity. This provides you with valuable metrics with minimum time and effort. Event rosters, pre-assigned hours and remote check-in make capturing volunteer hours a breeze.

VolunteerNow Supports VolunteerNow is proud to provide services and volunteer support to thousands of organizations large and small - representing all causes that strive to make the world a better place. On-line resources provide immediate support to VOLY.org users including a VOLY.org User s Manual and VOLY.org 101 video. School districts, municipalities, corporations, volunteer centers, and large organizations may be licensed to use a customized VOLY.org portal to recruit, track, and manage their volunteers.

Training and Education At VolunteerNow we recognize that nonprofit organizations can make a greater impact when they effectively engage and manage volunteers. We share our expertise through our practical, cost-effective training and consulting on all phases of volunteer engagement and management. Our workshops improve the effectiveness of nonprofits in volunteer management and enhance the volunteer experience. Each session is designed to enhance core competencies in volunteer management Facilitators are subject matter experts, hand-picked based on their understanding of nonprofits and volunteerism.

Professional Development Thanks to generous underwriting by the Amon G. Carter Foundation, scholarships to attend our trainings are available to volunteer coordinators and other nonprofit staff/board members. VolunteerNow also provides leadership, support, and expertise for local, state, & national conferences on volunteer management, including 1. The Texas Volunteer Management Conference 2. DOVIA s Professional Development Workshop 3. DADV s Half-Day Professional Development VolunteerNow gratefully acknowledges the support of the Amon G. Carter Foundation for professional development scholarships, amd the support of Wells Fargo, and an anonymous donor for the enhancement and expansion of our volunteer management curricula.

Community Service Restitution Community Service Restitution (CSR) places individuals in volunteer positions to fulfill service hours assigned by a court or school district. CSR service hours improve our communities and the lives of those volunteering. VolunteerNow manages CSR programs throughout North Texas, connecting clients to legitimate nonprofits to complete required hours. There is no cost to participating agencies and each agency determines their availability, usage, and restrictions. Agencies report hours on-line via VOLY.org. Check with us to see if your organization meets local requirements to receive CSR referrals.

Nonprofits have a responsibility to protect vulnerable clients. VeriFYI background checking provides one of the most comprehensive criminal background processes available in Texas. By law, VolunteerNow has access to Texas Department of Safety records that are not available to commercial background checking services. VeriFYI helps our agencies make informed decisions by providing a low-cost method of gathering all the critical information when screening volunteers or prospective employees. Agencies love the rapid turnaround and low cost. Additional information is available on our website.

Donated Goods Discount Depots VolunteerNow operates two Donated Goods Discount Depot (DG) stores one in Dallas and one in Tarrant County. DG stores help nonprofits stretch limited budgets with NEW clothing, personal care, office supplies, household goods and furniture donated by local and national retailers & manufacturers. DG stores are not open to the public. They are intended for our member nonprofits and their staff to save up to 80% on critical items that support their mission and delivery of services. DG stores are also open to public servants including teachers, police, firefighters, EMTs, and active and retired military. D I S C O U N T D E P O T

VolunteerNow s Voly in the Park is Dallas only volunteerism festival. We feature 75 nonprofit agencies, hands-on volunteer projects, live entertainment, and more than 5,000 attendees! In 2017, Voly in the Park day, June 3, was declared Volunteer Day by Mayor Mike Rawlings and the City of Dallas. Save the date to join us for the Fifth Annual Voly in the Park on Saturday, June 2, 2018!

Other Programs As a partner in the Mass Care Task Force, VolunteerNow is integrally involved in advanced preparation for coordinated response to catastrophic events such as hurricanes and tornados. Pre-trained volunteers allow us to respond quickly and efficiently amid the chaos of disaster situations. Coordinated response allows all spontaneous volunteers to register through VOLY.org and be deployed, as needed, to help with shelters and other response needs. VolunteerNow partners with the City of Dallas for city-wide volunteer engagement and management. We also customize the VOLY.org portal for various municipalities, school districts, and volunteer centers locally and throughout the country.

Thank You If you have questions or seek additional information about any of our programs or services please email us at membership@volnow.org.
