Purpose of Transitions Aid Transitions Aid is an investment in the effectiveness of Adult Basic Education programming. It is not a one-time effort to improve short-term effectiveness, but a continuous improvement strategy toward the creation of a sustainable and effective transitions for adult learners. Transitions Aid is dedicated to building the capacity of Adult Basic Education (ABE) to successfully transition ABE learners to one or more of the following: training employment postsecondary education

Purpose of Transitions Aid Transitions Aid activities are designed to help strengthen the transitions skills, competencies, abilities, and expertise of the Adult Basic Education community. Transitions Aid is not intended to be the only source of ABE funding supporting transitions activities. ABE consortia should be leveraging both state and federal funding as well as partner resources to support transition activities.
