Nash Approved Internship Sites

What is the Difference Between Training Sites, Internship Sites and OJT Sites? Nash Approved Training Sites (NATS) A Nash Approved Training Site is a pet grooming salon that is approved by the Nash Academy to teach the practical skills courses included in the diploma programs for dog and cats. In addition, the site may be approved to teach practical skills courses not included in the diploma programs, such as salon operations, grooming competition training and how to show dogs in the conformation ring. Nash Approved Internship Sites (NAIS) A Nash Approved Internship Site is a pet grooming salon that is approved by the Nash Academy and offers practical skills to students who have completed the online courses required in the diploma programs for dogs and cats (cats optional). Students who attend the Nash Approved Internship Site practice what they have learned online and then test out on their practical skills to receive their diploma at a Nash Approved Training Site. On the Job Training Sites (OJTS) The On the Job Training Site is a salon seeking to hire a bather, groomer and/or stylist. The OJT Salon is not required to go through the Nash Approved Salon process. It is a pet grooming salon that is looking for a bather, groomer and/or stylist and is willing to offer on the job training to a student or students, who will have completed the online courses required in the diploma programs for dogs and cats (cats optional). Students will practice what they have learned online and then they test out on their practical skills to receive their diploma at a Nash Approved Training Site and return to the OJT Site to work after they test out.
