Parrothead Hat Contest Will YOU be one of the 3 winners of the Parrothead Hat Contest held during the President s Banquet? Be creative and have designing (or buying) a Parrothead Hat. For those of you who need a little more info.the term Parrothead was coined during a Jimmy Buffett concert where Jimmy commented about everyone wearing Hawaiian shirts and parrot hats who keep coming back to see his shows. Thus the term Parrothead" was formed. The common stereotype is of a person wearing a Hawaiian shirt, flip-flops and board shorts. The general theme of being a Parrothead is one of relaxation and being on a permanent mental vacation, even while working.
