Make in India Advantage MIIM MIIM Focus Companies MIIM Programme Rollout and Implementation Make in India is a major new national programme designed to facilitate investment, foster innovation, enhance skill development, protect intellectual property and build best-in-class manufacturing infrastructure. There has never been a better time to MAKEININDIA! Make in India Mittelstand! (MIIM) MIIM is a business support programme designed to facilitate German Mittelstand and Family Owned Enterprises to Make in India. MIIM programme offers a wide range of business support services under a single platform. Services include strategy consulting, M&A, operational market entry support, tax & legal support, financial services, project financing, location services, technology collaboration, facilitation of approvals from central & state agencies and access to government agencies. MIIM is a unique integrated platform for market entry services that combines services rendered by government, not-for-profit and private entities. It is truly a one-stop source for companies requiring market entry support services with the additional benefits of special workshops, networking, information exchange etc. MIIM Programme has a built-in network of MIIM Programme Partners to support the participating companies with their services. Best-in-class partners have been selected after extensive due diligence. MIIM is another milestone in Ease of Doing Business in India. MIIM will make the market entry of Mittelstand companies a smooth process. MIIM is geared to address the divergent requirements of manufacturing, technology and service sector companies. Market entry of selected companies shall be closely supervised to ensure success. The programme support will be for a selected 30 high-potential Mittelstand companies that are at an advanced stage of Market Entry with a clear intent for localisation. However, companies that are still at an early stage of market entry but possess medium to long term potential for localisation and manufacturing in India shall also be considered for support. Technology companies interested in partnering with Indian companies/institutions for technology tie ups will also be supported under the programme. The above companies shall belong to the 25 MAKE IN INDIA focus sectors. n MIIM Programme roll out shall begin from September, 2015. n A Hot Line/Communication Channel has been set up for the participating companies to handle their requests. For companies requiring extensive programme support, the same will be implemented through a Work Plan prepared for each of the selected companies. n At least six Specialised Common Workshops will be conducted for participating companies during the first year of the programme on topics such as localisation, pricing strategy, skill development & training, inter-cultural issues, IPR s and taxation etc. n An MIIM Network and Exchange Platform will support participating companies to share their experiences, bestpractices, success stories and to network among themselves. n Participating companies shall also be informed of the incoming and outgoing business delegations as well as business events. MIIM Programme Manager: MIIM Project Team Selection of Companies Delivery of Services & Fee MIIM programme is implemented and monitored by the Indian Embassy in Berlin with the support of Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) and Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. MIIM Project Team is headed by Mr. P. S. Gangadhar, First Secretary, Embassy of India, Berlin supported by MIIM Knowledge Partner - Euro Asia Consulting (EAC) is responsible for the day-to-day management of the MIIM Programme. MIIM Steering Committee MIIM Steering Commitee is headed by H E Vijay Gokhale, Ambassador of India to Germany, comprising of representatives of partner ministries and institutions shall monitor the programme and review the progress on a quarterly basis. Selection of the companies will be based on a pre-defined criteria and personal discussions. As the number of companies to be considered for support is limited, companies that meet the selection criteria shall be offered a place in the programme on a first-come, first-serve basis. New companies will be enrolled in the programme, when existing companies leave after successful entry into India. n There would be no entry fee for the participating companies. General enquiries shall be answered on a gratis basis. n Neither the Indian Embassy nor any other government agencies shall charge any fees for facilitation services offered by them under the MIIM programme. n Participation in MIIM Specialised Common Workshops, MIIM Network and Exchange Platform, regular tax & legal updates, exchange of information on visiting delegations & business events shall be offered free of charge to the participating companies. n Companies requiring substantive service support, particularly from MIIM Knowledge Partner for strategic, M&A, operational market entry support; MIIM Tax & Legal Partners for legal & tax support; MIIM Technology Partner for technology facilitation services; and MIIM Incubator Partner for location support, shall bear the costs of services as determined by respective Partners. The MIIM Programme Manager has negotiated highly competitive fee structures for these services for the MIIM programme companies.
