Hope all of you had a WONDERFUL HOLIDAY SEASON filled with family, friends, food and fun. The Chamber will be making some changes to our events in 2016 Some of the changes include: Feb 26 Crab Feed-we will be having a dessert silent auction-we will have a dessert table that will close at 7:30p.m. where you can buy a dessert to share at your table or to take home. These will be special desserts provided by individuals (if you want to donate a dessert for this call the Chamber Office). Highest bidder gets the dessert. This should be a fun addition. We will also have the LIONS DANCER present to ring in the month of the Chinese New Year-if you have not seen their performance you are in for a treat! March 31 Annual Banquet and Community Awards: we have changed the date to fall after Spring Break in order to avoid vacation conflicts. We are also adding a new awards category-educator of the Year, to honor someone from Selma Unified who not only is extraordinary in Education but also is actively involved in the Community. ALL AWARD NOMINATION FORMS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE CHAMBER OFFICE and online (soon). Mixer in MARCH will be TUESDAY MARCH 15, and is a joint Chamber Mixer between Selma and Kingsburg and Hosted by S.K.F. and THE HOUSING CONNECTION. May 4-8-Raisin Festival: We will expand workshops on Saturday, May 7 th to include sessions on Art and Floriculture. We have some other exciting additions that will be revealed next month! September 17-10 th Annual Car Show: We are working on several aspects of the Car Show that will increase participation and attendance which we will share when details are confirmed.
