PURPOSE Gastrointestinal diseases affect an estimated 60 to 70 million US citizens annually. This course will provide an overview of the latest issues in clinical gastroenterology and hepatology. Upon completion of this program, course participants should demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of critical issues in gastroenterology including the FODMAP Diet, microbiome including fecal transplantation for clostridium difficile, inflammatory bowel disease, Hepatitis B and severe necrotizing pancreatitis.
