What is a Dual Diagnosis Treatment Team?
Definition of DDTT DDTT is comprised of a specialized mobile team of professionals providing treatment, support, and education for individuals in the community diagnosed with a mental illness and a co-morbid intellectual and/or development disability. Individuals referred to DDTT have frequently required crisis services and/or acute care treatment, exhausted all other supports available within their community, at risk of losing their community placement, and/or are transitioning from a higher level of care back into the community.
Admission Criteria 18 years of age or older Major psychiatric disorder Intellectual Developmental Disability (IDD) Frequent crisis services and at least one psychiatric hospitalization within the last year At risk of losing current community housing/support At risk of placement in a criminal detention setting Requires transitional services back to the community from a higher level of care
