Mission Statement It is the mission of the Tuskegee University Police Department to provide the best possible service and police protection for the entire campus community, to protect lives and property, prevent crimes and enforce the University and State laws, rules and regulations. We fulfill these purposes by providing our campus community with a full range of services that meet the highest professional standards of campus public safety. We advocate Community Oriented Policing and support the Town & Gown relationship.

Possession and Use of Firearms Tuskegee University prohibits the possession, discharging or storage of firearms on campus by students. Firearms, as referred to in this statement update, mean any hand guns, including recreational pistols, stun guns or pellet pistols, air guns, or BB pistols, and the like, as well as game and toy rifles, skeet, water guns and BB rifles, and other such classes of weaponry as might be classified as firearms of any caliber with the potential to inflict injury.
Alcohol and Drugs The possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited on University property (except as allowed in designated areas by those of legal age) or any studentsponsored event. The possession, use, or distribution of narcotics or other illegal drugs as marijuana or synthetic drugs is also prohibited.
