MAP Session Summary/TBG Chicago Collaboration and Impact Stories: The greatest value added TBG Chicago had to Entrenuity was relationships. As a result of presenting in May of 2016 Brian Jenkins was able to connect with Larry Mollner who was then able to connect Brian to Tom Sosnoff of Tastytrade. Tom, an accomplished investor and market expert, presented a four week course for Moxe members and others on investing that was invaluable for attendees. Additionally, Brian was able to recruit 3 business coaches for Entrenuity: Angela Jackson, Ralph Kendrick and an additional individual. Additional Comments/Feedback: 1. Enjoyed the model where tons of advice is not shared at quarterly meeting but rather outside of meeting in an ongoing partnership model. 2. People partnering with organizations that are industry experts matched with the asks strategically is in credibly helpful. 3. The partnership between ministries and TBG Chicago members is essential so that both parties are thriving in the work. 4. Opportunities for connections are the most important.

Our existing mission and vision statements are below. However, we are currently updating the mission and vision statements to accurately reflect our expansion of working with adults through our new business incubator, MoxE, with an official launch in May 2016. Our mission is to prepare young people for true success through experiential entrepreneurship and spiritual development training. Our vision is to equip educators (home school included), pastors, and youth workers with entrepreneurship education as an outreach tool to the community and as a stewardship training program for youth. What are the primary activities (the main thrust) of the ministry? (not more than two paragraphs) Entrenuity provides: Adult Facilitator Training Classes, Youth Entrepreneurship Classes, Adult Entrepreneurship Classes, Business Coaching, Co- Sharing Incubator, Business Professional Development Workshops and Business Loans targeting African- American and Hispanic entrepreneurs. Presenting ministries are Christ centered. How is that defined in the ministry? (not more than one paragraph)

Entrenuity incorporates Christian based principles into our direct training services for youth and adults when possible. We use multiple approaches to teach Christian values and principles by our actions along with our words. In order for a person to apply for funding from the Duncan Legacy Fund (business loan fund), they must be a Believer. Who are the Chicago Barnabas members if any already involved in the ministry? Larry Mollner & Mark King What are 1 or 2 successful stories you have with engaging Barnabas- like members in the ministry that did NOT involve funding? (not more than two paragraphs) Larry has connected me with a colleague in the financial services industry who is interested in leading investment classes to expose more African- American men/women to opportunities in the financial services industry. Mark has provided valuable insights and wisdom regarding launching the Duncan Legacy Fund. Mark may also share his insights on a StartingUp Now Talk (SUN Talk) that helps provide insights to Entrenuity students, youth and adult, on venture capital. What are the 2 or 3 specific functions or areas where the ministry would use Barnabas marketplace leaders, i.e. what are the business leadership and management areas where volunteers would work? This is the hardest part. The needs can't be financial, but rather talent needs. [NOTE it is recommended that ministries have an entry level, a first step for marketplace leaders to be involved. How do they test the waters of working with the ministry?] (not more than two or three paragraphs) MoxE Business Coaches with the launching of MoxE, we are in need of business coaches from various industries to help guide new or existing entrepreneurs through their startup challenges. We have a MoxE Business coaching job description outlining what coaching entails. MoxeE Professional Development Workshop Leaders MoxE will host workshops on specific business related subjects led by experts or professionals. These workshops are designed to offer perspective, insights and guidance for first time entrepreneurs. Duncan Legacy Fund We are in need of someone from the banking industry to help guide us with loan making decisions. Ideally this person would have banking experience and in the area of small business loans. We would like to grow the fund and ultimately create a crowd funding platform too. What is your follow up plan to connect with Barnabas volunteers within the first few days after a presentation? (not more than one paragraph) I would schedule a group follow- up meeting to share more information about Entrenuity, our Team along with the expectations of the Business Coaching, Professional Development Workshops and the Duncan Legacy Fund. For business coaches I would introduce a listing of the existing entrepreneurs we are working with along with our matchmaking process. For workshop leaders they will identify their specific

expertise, workshop title, description and how it will best serve the entrepreneur. For the Duncan Legacy Fund the person would learn about our guidelines, structured deals and existing loan models. If the ministry presented right now, what would be the Big Question that the ministry would want Barnabas members to help answer? The Big Question is an immediate challenge or opportunity the ministry is facing. (not more than one paragraph) Can Barnabas members connect Entrenuity entrepreneurs to meaningful business opportunities to help their business grow profitably? Can Barnabas members help with specific business needs such as product placement, marketing, legal services, financial plan guidance, etc. Prior to submitting a request, it is necessary that the ministry leader presenting must have attended one previous Chicago Barnabas meeting. Decisions to present at a Barnabas meeting are based on the following: The ministry is clearly Christ centered; The ministry has 2 or 3 specific business talent needs; There seems to be a match between what the ministry needs and what Barnabas volunteers are able to do to assist; Where there are numerous ministries requesting to present, there will be a diversity of ministries selected for each meeting; Priority is given to ministries where Chicago Barnabas members are already engaged; Priority is given to ministries which are based or have a strong presence in the Chicago area; Priority is given to ministries where the CEO or Ex Dir makes the presentation; The ministry presentations will not be used to ask Barnabas members to contribute money.
