Hands-On MRI-Guided & Stereotactic Biopsy Course: A Step-By-Step Approach February 1-2, 2014 Program Goal The individuals attending this educational activity should be able to implement the recommended biopsy procedures and post-biopsy management algorithms in their own institution with high-yield results similar to those achieved at MD Anderson. Educational Objectives After participating in the activity, the participant should be able to: Understand breast MRI-guided biopsy indications and patient selection (knowledge) Implement an optimized MRI-guided biopsy protocol and stereotactic biopsy protocol (knowledge, competence, performance) Optimize and troubleshoot MRI-guided and stereotactic breast biopsies for improved patient outcomes (knowledge, competence, performance, patient outcomes) Perform imaging-pathological correlation and improve management recommendations for patients. (knowledge, competence, performance, patient outcomes) Target Audience This conference will be beneficial to physicians, radiologists, radiology technologists (RTs), and surgeons. Evaluation A course evaluation form will provide participants with the opportunity to comment on the value of the program regarding practice decisions, performance improvement activities, and impact on patient health status. Participants will also have the opportunity to comment on any perceived commercial bias in the presentations as well as to identify future educational topics. Accreditation/Credit Designation The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
